so overdue..

excuse me for the lack of updates, i've been busy and sick.. yeah, i'm sick again and shall i say this is the worst for me in the year 2009? i am so going for the flu jab no matter how much it's gonna cost me.. had a very high fever of 38.7deg last friday, went to see the doc, medications prescribed and was asked to rest at home for 7days.. 7days of not going out and minimal contact with Daniyal, was advised.. with all these H1N1 rising cases daily in SG there's no way the doc gonna take the risks.. so yeah, staying put at home, i did! taking the medications regularly, i did! minimal contact withDaniyal.. I CAN'T! but, put on a mask at home, i did (hm.. but i gotta admit.. it got pretty hot and uneasy so i did take it down at times) and at the same time, praying hard that no other family members catch the flu bug from me.. =(( it simply ain't a good feeling.. my life for the past days revolved around sleep, eat, medications and henceforth.. grrr..

i must say i feel slightly better today except for the loss of my beautiful voice.. =( the sore throat's killing me and right now, the hardest thing for me to do is swallow.. the food, the medicines and even the saliva! the fever is still going up and down and mom made me bathe at least 4 times a day with COLD RUNNING WATER.. imagine that! i wish i can post a pic of me wearing the unglamourous mask at home and looking ugly.. but eeeks! no guts lah dey!

but since i'm feeling a bit better and am already itching to blog (with pictures, of course!) i've decided to do the much overdue post.. haha. the family NDP day out @ Changi Beach.. LOL! (mcm dah takde tempat lain gitu kan)? I was expecting the beach to be overcrowded with Malay families having their picnic as usual on every long weekend holidays but that day, it was still ok.. at least we did find a good spot.. but the weather was terrible! it was hot and humid!

Only few pics to post here =)

My Favourite Subject = KIDS! Except for Daniyal who turned up in Blue, both Humaira and Harith proved themselves to be more patriotic than anyone else there when they turned up in RED and with a Singapore Flag, embossed on their cheeks.. cute-ness!

My sister who turned up in Red+White and before leaving all of us to go to Marina Barrage to catch the fireworks and ended up 'keringgg' cos she said the view weren't clear enough as it was blocked by the IR constructions.. haha!

My Aunt and US, her nieces and nephews.. so u can see my other cousins are like so tall and yet i so bantut.. dunnolah whose genes i followed cos their moms not that tall either.. LOL! So Daniyal better don't follow my 'this side' of genes.. LOL! no offence hor... & i still dunno why ppl said i look like a japanese woman wannabe so now i tink i know.. its the hat lah.. shdnt hv bought white kaler.. but nevertheless it costs me $2 ok.. (on my jakarta trip) and it saved me from the hot and glaring sun on that day.. everything on me can turn dark BUT NOT my face hor.. so the tak cantik ok!

The rest of the family!!!

I.LOVE.MY.FAMILY.AND.MY.GRANDMA.

(my grandma: you're the bestest grandmother on Earth.. we all love u soooo much! we hope and pray that you'll be healthy always.. we'll bear you lotsa great-grandchildren, we just want u to be there to witness their arrival.. muacks!)
that's all about the NDP day =)

& those nights we lingered, just the two of us
we've always had a hard time to spend during the day time and it's only occassionally when Hub got a night off during weekends that we're able to put Daniyal to bed and sneaked out, with Mak's permission of course lah.. and many a times we don't know where to head to.. and many a times we think the subject of "where are we going to" shouldn't have been brought up cos we always ended up at the same place.

.CHANGI POINT.
to sit, chat and watch the planes (as well as those men trying their luck on fishing)..

Our conversation and that 'duduk mcm apek kalah judi' Hub.

Hehe.. and the 'muka telor setengah masak' ME!

@ Low tide. (amazingly, the water was still that night, I still remember how calmed it was with no waves.. nothing..hm..)

That jetty that ferry NS boys back to Pulau Tekong. Remotely quiet at night.

Feeling..

Normally.. after about 45mins to an hour chatting and bumming around Changi Point, we'd drive to Coastal Road, parked at the side and watched as the planes took off and landed but that night, if I remembered correctly, was already 2am and not much planes to depart so we headed for a late night coffee at Mcdonalds, this time @ Budget terminal.

Hub gamely stopped at the bridge leading to Budget terminal.
Stopped. Shot. Sped. LOL.

Aaaah... warmed me up on that cool cool night!

At the Budget Terminal, we were wondering which flight will depart so early in the morning and judging by the people who were there at 3am, the first flight out should be around 6am.. would you pick a flight that early?? I wouldn't unless of course its damn cheap lah.. hehe. Oh, they have a small mini palyground there too.. maybe it's an alternative place for me to bring Daniyal (lesser kids, i guess) and the parking's cheap too.. budget mah! Ok wat Budget terminal.. at least they have Mcdonald's there.. got internet some more.. wahlau! muahaha.

& we said goodbye at around 3am.. and headed back home only to find no parking lots available for our car.. BUMMER!
