The flowers perched on the top left of my fridge is from my colleague cum good friend, Bariah.. I don't remember telling her abt my collection of magnets so you can imagine my surprise when I received that from her as part of my 29th birthday. They may not be from overseas but yet they are soooo unique and I think they kinda light up my fridge magnet-deco even more. Thanks, Bariah! =)
If you look closely, you'll see this magnet that was chipped? That was from Venice, Italy.. Unfortunately, without my knowledge, Daniyal had meddled with it and broke it.. It was a souvenir from a close friend of mine, Safira, from SATS. =(
This Las Vegas magnet was a souvenir from an ex-colleague in SATS who went to LA recently and got me that.. from the magnet itself, you can really see that it lives up to the VEGAS expectation.. colourful and vibrant city.. when will i ever step my foot in Vegas? When the money is thick! =)
I went to London in 2006 but I couldn't remember whether I brought back any souvenirs. What I remembered from that trip was I brought home more of HARRODS and Mark and Spencer.. LOL! This magnet was a souvenir from my Uncle Gero and Aunt Ana who went to UK to visit his parents.. it has all the London attractions on it.. Big Ben, Buckingham Palace etc etc.

I bought this magnet from Holland when I went there in 2006. Windmills are the best way to describe Holland.. =)

I think I don't have to mention these.. It's from the city that never sleeps.. HONG KONG! Bought these on my trip there last year in 2008.. If given a chance again, I WILL VISIT HONG KONG.. but this time, I'm very ambitious.. I wanna go MACAU & SHENZEN as well.. anyone keen? =)
Last but not least, this has always been my FAVOURITE! It was this magnet THAT started me on a magnet collection. Bought in EuroDisney during my honeymoon to Paris in 2003.. I'm not sure if i will re-visit Paris. My Aunt and Uncle who just came back from their Paris trip claimed that Paris is dirrrrty city.. hey, it was dirty when I was there in 2003.. looks like they havent changed, have they? LOL!
and hey! this is the BABY of all magnets placed on my fridge.. BABY because it's the latest lor! and it's from my elder sis who recently went to Istanbul.. =) and this magnet is as 'handsome' as the Turkey lads.. lol.. I'm sure if it was me I would have taken thousand pics of those gorgeous males.. and surely my husband wouldn't mind.. LOL.. in exchange for a belly dance entertainment night, he would say.. hahaha.
My recent trip to Jakarta, I didn't buy any magnets.. It didn't even cross my mind! Maybe I'll return there end of the year and hopefully, they'll have a magnet made from the suicide bomber's face and I'll definitely buy it and place it on my fridge and everyday I will make sure I'll use Daniyal's toy gun and shoot that face... that IS what he'll get from me for spoiling my holiday!! Haha.
I think I am going to continue to collect magnets as my favourite past time. My Aunts and Sis has started on their snow globe collection, but i think, I'm gonna stick to magnets. Cheaper, mah! =)
The 2 snow globes that I currently owned.. pathetic two lor.. haha.
This was from Shasha when she went to Kuching, Sarawak last year on a school trip.. that suggests the "kuching" and the globe.. =)
And this was a recent one from Italy, compliments from Uncle Gero and Aunt Ana again on their recent triple treats trip to London, Paris and Italy.. =)
