Let's KICK off with the Kek Lapis. This time round, we managed to stop by a Lapis Bakery and was served with FREE coffee and some lapis testing. I took this opportunity to see for myself the kitchen where they made the lapis.
It was a huge place and fortunately, it was CLEAN.. (maybe because it was still early in the morning).
Maybe these are the reasons behind the soft and fluffy Lapis! :PWe headed to Nagoya Hill Shopping centre while some of my colleagues went for a one and a half hour of Batam Traditional Massage @ SGD20.

Just how much to bargain when you are in Batam? I'll quote an example. See the watch above which Hub bought?
The salesgirl initial quote was RP185,000 and when we asked for her BEST price, it was quickly discounted to RP140,000. I knew instantly that it was tooo high and what they called it 'tourist trap' price! So I bargained for RP80,000. I simply walked away when she refused.. Not even 5 steps away and she called us back and we paid RP80,000 no more, no less.. So, always bargain for 60% off the price but don't forget to ask for their BEST price first before bargaining! If you go shopping in the morning, LAGI better! hehe.. always say, "Buat Pelaris untuk hari ini, Mbak!".. and they will always obliged! ;D I think all the travellings to Indonesia, near or far, have really been beneficial to me.. ;D

well.. good things must share mah. But this tactic only use in Indonesia tau.. kalau tempat lain tak dpt discount.. mintak kena sepak lagi ada.. lol..
u oso can cuti2 mah.. doesnt matter where as long as out from here. gud enuf!
shd try batam.. nak rileks stay pat resort dia,holiday inn batam, cheap cheap.. but avoid sch hols lah cos they mark up d price ;D
