Heard the news..??

... about the new incentives that US, yes US, what Singaporean parents can expect from the government??.. the call for more women to give birth as our birth rate is decreasing, was really what I had wanted to listen to when I watched the National Day rally on telly yesterday.. and when our PM announced the plans.. the proposal.. i was, say, hm.. enticed.. :))

I'm not sure I speak the same for the rest of the women, wifes-to-be, mothers-to-be.. But i guess our government is doing the best for us and hopefully, we not only give birth to enjoy the benefits but be there to nurture our future young Singaporeans into a promising someone.. and while i was excited and rejoicing over the news.. someone is definitely not happy.. & who is that?

When PM Lee announced that they are proposing 16weeks of maternity leave from the current 12 weeks, I shouted and clapped my hands in excitement.. and told Daniyal.. "Mama's gonna have another baby.."


He retorted : a stern, NO!! Cannot..!! U cannot.. baby cannot..!!


When PM Lee announced again that they are proposing 6days of childcare/paternity leave from the current 2days.. Hub and I looked at each other and he commented.. "Ok Ok.. next year, next year"


Daniyal again said: What next year??!! (soo young and soo kepo) Maybe he's starting to get worried.. or maybe he's just being nosey.. :)


Just hope the confirmed details will be out soon.. *Yeehaa!*


Sidetrack: Attended Mysha's 1st birthday on Saturday, 16th Aug 08.. It was a simple affair.. the food was great and Mysha is forever sweet.. so sweet lah she.. she takes after the father a lot! And, of course Hanni wasn't happy about it.. but be thankful ok Hanni, that Mysha's a lovely and sweet girl.. :)

Eh, my eyes like keror like that hor?? What's with the specky-look?? Aiyah.. constant long wearing of lenses makes my eyes' oxygen level very low.. so kena wear the glasses for at least a month lor..
